You did it! Recently, the 27J School Board sent a bond proposal to the voters. Thank you to the more than 1,000 people who signed the petition, called, and wrote e-mails of support. Some amazing parents came to join us at the meeting.
I serve on the City Council in Commerce City, and I can see firsthand all of the growth that is happening in our community. We need this measure to pass.
But getting the measure on the ballot was the easy part—now we need to get organized and start communicating directly with the voters in the 27J area.
Come and Join us for one of our upcoming organizing meetings in your area. Get plugged into campaign events, learn more about the NationBuilder organizing system, find out when yardsigns
will be available, and learn the best ways to talk about the bond.
We are holding four organizing meetings. Please click the link to RSVP to the meeting closest to you:
- BRIGHTON: Wednesday, Sept 17 from 6:30-8 pm at the Brighton Boys and Girls Club
- COMMERCE CITY: Thursday, Sept 18 from 5:30-8:00 pm at Stuart Middle School Gym
- THORNTON: Friday, Sept. 19 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the West Ridge Library
- BRIGHTON: Monday, Sept 22 from 6:30-8 pm at the Brighton Recreation Center
These meetings are a great way to get plugged into the campaign and share tactics with other supporters. The bond package is the best solution to the most pressing issue facing our schools: overcrowding. The state funding just doesn't help us keep up with the growth.
Please take a moment to RSVP to one of our meetings so you can get plugged into the campaign
Sincerely,
Jason McEldowney
P.S. You don’t have to wait for an organizing meeting to get started. Our NationBuilder website allows you to set up your own campaign events to help spread the word. You can donate, and share important information on Facebook and Twitter. Check it out.
