Adams County Schools Grapple with Growth, Development, Overcrowding

An important article published in the Denver Post earlier this year about the growth in 27J.

Brighton 27J has grown more than any other metro-area school district.

From 2003 to 2013, the district grew by 102 percent, and the district's current 16,698 student population is expected to grow to about 50,000.

For now, 36 mobile classrooms — trailers outfitted with at least two classrooms and installed on school grounds — provide overflow space for students. Some lack restrooms.
