27J Growth Advisory Task Force begins work

On Thursday, Feb. 19, about 50 School District 27J parents, community members, board members and staff gathered as part of Superintendent Fiedler’s Growth Advisory Task Force. The task force will meet up to four times over the next couple of months to discuss a possible 2015 construction bond and/or mill levy override recommendation.

There will be several opportunities for the community to learn more and get involved. The Capital Facility Fee Foundation, an award-winning public-private partnership that collects contributions from developers and builders in School District 27J to help fund school expansion and new school construction, will host a series of Saturday Information Meetings beginning soon.

You can get involved now by registering on IAm27J.org. Also consider making a one-time or ongoing contribution on the website to help with outreach and possible November 2015 campaign efforts.

The next Growth Task Advisory Force meeting is Thursday, March 12. Check back for updates.
