Right now, School District 27J is the lowest funded school district in the metro area. This means that everything from textbooks to technology have been falling out of date. It also means that our teachers and instructional staff earn less than those who work at neighboring districts. We don't need to be the best-funded school district in the area, but we have to do more to attract and retain talent to the district so our kids can succeed.
