You can't make this stuff up... we are excruciatingly close to reaching our goal of 26% estimated likely parent turnout. As of this morning Adams County is reporting 12,879 voting in SD27J. We estimate 3,312 of those individuals are parents, which is 25.72%. If parents stop voting (and others keep voting) that proportion can go south very quickly.

Many of you reading this remember the heartbreak of last year. This is the moment when we decide not to let that happen. The updated list of people who have voted is below. We have broken up the list, but everyone should be on there.

At the beginning of this campaign we told you "We Have the Power" and that is still true today. Let's bring this home for the SD27J community.

Right now have 8,258 people who have cast a ballot in SD27J. We are happy to report a significant (but not sufficient) bump in the share of likely parent voters. Likely parents now make up 24.76% of the ballots that have been voted so far. However, we need to be at 26%. 

These numbers can go down as easily as they can go up, so it is critically important for everyone to check the list of all the people in Adams County who have a ballot returned AND validated by the county clerk. We have broken up the list into three sections. Each link leads to a PDF document that you can use to search your friends and family to check if they have voted.

Searching PDF files for names is easy, simply type Ctrl+F or Command+F and then search for the names you are looking for.

Here is a chart of what we estimate the share of likely parent voters (based on demographic characteristics) in school district 27J who have voted. In 2014 (when we lost by 120 votes) parents made up about 23% of the people who voted. If parents make up more than 26% of the electorate in this election, then we believe that 3C has a strong chance of passing.

Right now, this percentage is at 21.57%, that's a problem we need your help fixing.

If we all do our jobs, this number will grow as we get closer to Election Day. If you want to see who's voted so far, click "read more" below to see an alphabetical list of people who have voted. While how you vote is completely private, whether you have voted is a matter of public record. Keep in mind that this is a list of everyone who has voted, not just parents. 

Some people may have dropped off their ballot or placed it in the mail and it just hasn't been processed yet. But if you have friends and family who aren't on this list, might be a good idea to give them a little reminder.
